Godard Sucks
Went to see the new Jean-Luc Godard film this evening, Éloge de l’Amour - what a pile of pretentious wankery. The moment I saw the ‘book without words’, I knew it was gonna be bad. It just didn’t go anywhere, and it didn’t do anything for me. Sure, there were some bits I appreciated (although they were tinged with sarky bitterness, the digs at Hollywood made me chuckle) but as a whole, it was a waste of 97 minutes. Oh well. I tried.
