Mystery Injuries

I have two fairly obvious scratches on my right arm, and I have no idea how they were inflicted.

The first, approximately one inch long, appeared earlier this week on the side of my right forearm, close to the elbow. I think I was putting on or taking off a t-shirt when I felt a slight stinging sensation, and sure enough there it was. But I have no recollection of scraping my arm off a sharp object like the corner of my computer desk, like I usually do. (And besides, I always feel it when it happens.)

The second, smaller scratch crosses my right wrist diagonally and appeared some time yesterday afternoon. Again, I have no memory of any event that may have caused it.

It’s not the scratches themselves that worry me so much, but the fact that I don’t know how they came to be. I don’t think I’ve been blacking out; on the contrary, I’ve been quite aware of myself and my surroundings the last few days. Maybe it’s happening while I’m sleeping.

Which begs the question, if so, why am I scratching myself in my sleep?

who knows, there may be some kind of demented creature that lives under your bed, inflicting all kinds of horrifying tortures upon you. i call him dougal.thankfully, you are made of strong stuff, with buffy the vampire slayeresque powers of recovery, hence the vast gaping wound, inflicted by the sharp teeth and claws of the creature during the night, healed quickly. So quickly in fact, that by morning, you were left with but a scratch. by the way, eating deep fried ice cream can’t be good for you. i don’t think God designed the human body for such things

maybe you’ve got a vampire friend. Or maybe Julian does.

Don’t worry about it babe, I’m full of bruises and I can’t remember how I got half of them. They just appear. Like the freak of nature that I am.
