If this were made for YouTube we’d call it a video essay, but it was produced for BBC Four so it gets to be a documentary, I suppose. That doesn’t really work for me; the term is loaded with presumptions of artistry when I expect Rich Hall himself would say nah, I’m just a guy spouting opinions about shit I’ve observed.
