Watched the original Italian version, which appears to play a bit more fast and loose with the tone but also, at least based on comparison of the first few minutes, retains more of the creative cinematography lost to some brutal editing in the international cut. It’s style over story, for sure; the plot isn’t as twisty or profound as you might be led to believe. But what style! And that goes for the music as much as the visuals. That track rocking as David Hemmings flails away on the side of an old house is a jam and a half: Goblin doing DEVO before DEVO knew what they were doing. ★★★½
