Film review — Rich Hall’s The Dirty South

I’m gonna go ahead and say I’ve watched this one before, as it’s vaguely familiar, but it was worth getting reacquainted. Rich Hall (who grew up in North Carolina) is as ever fine company as he essays his take on ‘The South’ as a concept refracted through the prism of Hollywood and hardly reflective of any real place, yet to the extent that the people of that region might only identify themselves through it. ★★★★
