A short documentary detailing the process of scoring a famed Balinese gamelan (the name refers the percussion ensemble and arrangement, as well as the genre) in MIDI notation, augmented with animated visual representation. I’ll be honest, the MIDI version lacks the resonance, both literal and figurative, that comes with a human performance.
